bygaschromatography/massspectrometry(GC/MS)using10%HOHasthemethylesterificationsolvent.WeanalyzedthecleavagerulesandmassspectrometrycharacterizationofpolyunsaturatedfattyacidsusingtheGC/MSstandardmassspectrometrydatabaseindexandtheregularpatternsoforganicspectrometry.Wedevelopedanovelmethodtoestimatethecarbon-atomnumberanddouble-bondnumberusingcharacteristicionsandthepositionofdouble-bondsinthecarbonylgroupandthemethylendusingtheions,respectively.Weidentified27fattyacidsinthetotallipidextractof,including13polyunsaturatedfattyacids.ThetotalcontentofEPAandDHAwas40.64%,whichishigherthanlevelsgenerallyfoundinmarinefishesandshrimps.Thus,ourdatasuggestthat
