Abstract:WholegenomicselectionbreedingwasintroducedfirstlybyMeuwissenin2001.Ithasattractedalotofattentionsinanimalbreeding.TheresearchgroupsinAustrilia,NewZealand,Netherlandandutilizationwasalsoreported.However,inaquacultureanimals,norelatedreportwasfound.Inthispaper,conceptionofwholegenomicselectionbreedingwasintroducedfirstly,secondlytheadvantageofthismethodwasclarified,andthestrategyofthismethodwasfocused,thetechniquesappliedinwholegenomicselectionbreedingwerealsosummarized.Finally,theapplicationofwholegenomicselectioninaquacultureanimalwassuggestionswerealsogivenfortheuseofwholegenomicselectionbreedinginaquaculture.
