    Procyprisrabaudi(Tchang)weredeterminedinthelaboratorybythestomachcontentmethod.Duringtheexperiment,thefishwerefedonThefeedingintensityexhibitedadistinctcircadianrhythm,withasinglepeakbetween00:30and06:30.Gastricevacuationratesofjuvenilecarpofmeang.Linear,exponentialandsquarerootmodelswerefittedtothegastricevacuationdataandallthethreemodelsprovidedagoodfittothedata0.1692usingthismodel,thegastricevacuationratewascalculatedtobe0.169g.Thedailyfoodconsumptionwasmeasureddirectlyas24.91.UsingtheElliott-Persson(1978)model,thefoodconsumptionofjuvenilerockcarpintheirnaturalenvironmentwasestimatedas.Tosimplifyquantificationofthedigestivetractcontentsofrareandendangeredfishwithcomplicateddigestivetracts,weemployedanempiricalformulatocalculatetheweightoftheEDW=0.24(BW/BL)).Thisstudyprovidesbasicdataforquantitativeresearchonthefeedingecologyandenvironmentalcarryingcapacityofrockcarp.
