    Abstract:

    There is a very high diversity of myxosporeans in China. Outbreaks of some myxosporan species have resulted in significant economic loss to the aquaculture industry. Despite this, little is known about the myxosporean life cycle. We describe anew that were isolated from a crucian carp ( in Liyang City, Jiangsu Province in (1%) we examined were found to release actinospores. The actinospore possesses a barrel-shaped spore body and 3 caudal processes with four-branched tips. . Sporoplasm cells not determined.
